Covid-19: Number of vaccinated elderly citizens in ICU decreases in Oman

Muscat: The number of vaccinated persons aged above 65 has decreased significantly in intensive care, the Ministry of Health (MOH), said on Monday.

His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammad Al-Saeedi, Minister of Health (MOH), said in an interview with Oman TV: "We noticed those over 65 years age who received vaccination, the number of cases of them being in intensive care has decreased significantly. But we have cases of those over 65 years age who refused vaccination and  they ended up in intensive care."

"What I like to point out is that these vaccinations have proven to be effective and safe. Some countries have stopped using one of the vaccines for a while, but after confirmation came again from the medical scientific institutions and the World Health Organization, countries resumed using these vaccinations."
