Egypt imposes entry fee for travellers from Arab countries

Muscat: The Embassy of Oman in Cairo has issued an advisory for Omani citizens looking to travel to Egypt on the new entry visa fee of 25 USD at all embassies of Egypt from March 12.

A statement issued online by the Embassy of Oman in Cairo said: "The embassy asks citizens to tke note of the decision by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior on March 11, regarding the collection of a fee for entry into the Arab Republic of Egypt, applicable for entry visas for all citizens of all Arab coutries. Countries bound by bilateral or regional agreements, including mutual exemption of fee agreements, are exempted from this decision."
