Covid-19: Advisory issued for Omani students in London

Muscat: The Omani Cultural Attaché in London has issued an urgent statement to Omani students in the United Kingdom in light of the imposition of a new general isolation to confront Covid-19.

The statement said: "The Cultural Attaché in London is following the news in light of the rise in Covid-19 infections and the British government's decision to adopt new isolation measures that oblige citizens to stay in their homes to confront the pandemic, after the emergence of the new strain of coronavirus, considered more infectious."

"Studying by physical attendance is only for some scientific programs that require field work, but in a very limited way. However, after the government’s decision, it is expected that procedures will be tightened. We advise you to follow up your e-mail that is linked to the university’s account to know the latest developments."

"Students in Oman and students whose studies begin during this month, we ask them to communicate with their universities and language institutes and mark a copy of the e-mail to their academic supervisors at the Cultural Attaché office to know the latest developments and to consult before the decision to travel. In the event of new developments, we will contact you. "
