Muscat: The brightest, biggest moon since 1948 did not disappoint on Monday night, as clear skies gave people perfect opportunity to capture some perfect shots of the big one.

According to astronomers, on Monday evening, the moon was the closest it has been to earth in decades and those who missed it must now wait until November 25, 2034 for a similar spectacle.

So while the Sultanate bathed in the light of the Supermoon and people enjoyed the sight, for photographers, professional as well as amateurs, it was a welcome chance to hone their skills.
