Ministry signs agreement with Oman Mills Company

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Oman Mills Company to purchase wheat crops from farmers in different governorates of the Sultanate for an amount of OMR 500 per ton.

In a statement, the Ministry said:"The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources announces that it has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Oman Mills Company (SAOG) to purchase wheat crops from farmers in the various governorates of the Sultanate for an amount of OMR 500 per ton."

"Wheat growers who are wishing to sell the wheat crop to the company must register their names with the departments of agricultural development centers in the various wilayats of the Sultanate within two weeks of the publication of this announcement."

The ministry said the farmer has to meet the following conditions:

1- The farmer must be Omani.

2- The farmer must have a valid agricultural document.

3 - The wheat varieties are from the Omani varieties registered with the Ministry.

 4-The wheat should be pure and not mixed with other impurities and seeds.

5- The farmer must supply the quantities of the crop by himself to the warehouses of the Oman Flour Mills Company in the Wilayat of Muttrah in the Governorate of Muscat.
