Salalah Airport resumes operations

Muscat: Salalah Airport resumed its operations at around 2am this morning.

An online statement by Oman Airports read, "Happening now: Salalah International Airport will resume operations in moments."

The statement was released at 2 am.

A statement by Oman Air read, "Dear Oman Air valued guests, we are pleased to resume our flights from / to Salalah Airport. For more information please check our website or contact our call center at +96824531111."

Earlier in the evening, air traffic in and out of Salalah Airport was delayed following an aircraft tyre burst.

Following the incident, the airport runway had been temporarily closed, prompting statements from Oman's airlines.
