Tropical storm turns into category 1 cyclone

Muscat: The tropical storm in the Arabian Sea has developed into a category 1 tropical cyclone Gati. 

Oman Meteorology said, "The tropical storm (GATI) developed into a category 1 tropical cyclone with wind speeds around the centre (65-70) knots and continued to move westward towards the Horn of Africa and the Gulf of Aden."
