Oman's Environment Authority undertakes campaign to clean oil slicks

Muscat: The Environment Authority has implemented a field campaign to remove the remains of large oil slicks, carried by the sea waves to the shores of the Al Hallaniyat Islands.

A statement issued online by the authority said: "The Environment Authority, with logistical support from Dhofar municipality, and in cooperation with the office of the Deputy Governor of the Al Hallaniyat Islands Prosecution office, carried out a field campaign to remove the remains of large oil slicks carried by the sea waves to the shores of the Al Hallaniyat Islands."
