ROP arrests smuggler with over 5,000 kilos of heroin

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police has arrested an infiltrator found in possession of more than 20 kg of narcotic substances.

The ROP said: "The General Administration for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances has arrested an infiltrator of an Asian nationality while trying to enter the Sultanate through a sea-route. He was in possession of 15 kilograms of crystal drug and 5,800 kilograms of heroin."

"The accused's intent was to sell the drugs in partnership with an international gang, and legal measures are taken against him," ROP added.
