Food inspectors in Oman shut down illegal vendors

Muscat: Inspectors in the Food Safety and Quality Department in Dhofar Governorate have dealt with a number of random cases of street vendors selling Ramadan food while not complying with health requirements.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources said: "The inspectors in Food Safety and Quality Department in Dhofar Governorate have removed sellers from random sites for selling Ramadan food which did not comply with health requirements."

"These street vendors were distributed in different random sites in the wilayat of Salalah," the statement added.
