Muscat: His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health has expressed his satisfaction in controlling the spread of coronavirus in the country.
“I am very satisfied with what has been achieved so far in controlling the spread of coronavirus,” he said in an interview with Oman TV.
The Minister also advised the public to avoid gatherings during Ramadan. Asked as to when the virus will end, the Minister had this to say: “The relevant authorities which also include the WHO has no information as to when the virus will end. We are looking to see the virus reach its peak in two weeks and then reduce it in six weeks time,” he said.
According to the Minister, 42 patients are in hospital. “Majority of them are residents,” he added.
