Oman Chamber of Commerce sets up fund to fight COVID19 impact

Muscat: The Chairman of the Chamber calls on real estate owners to take into account the current conditions of their rented stores, which may be affected by precautionary measures.

The President of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry invites the owners of the commercial centers and owners of commercial real estate to take the directives approved by the government and work to observe the current conditions of their rented stores affected by the precautionary measures, whether by exempting, reducing or postponing rents because of coronavirus.

The OCCI Chairman said in a statement : "The Chamber would like to announces an initiative on behalf of the private sector to establish the Chamber and the private sector social responsibility fund to support the government's efforts to mitigating the effects of the spread of coronavirus."

Private sector institutions will contribute either in material or cash during the coming period, including contributing to the Chamber’s fund and the private sector for social responsibility, and the Chamber will account these sponsorships and announce them.
