Not reporting coronavirus in Oman will lead to jail term.

Muscat: Persons who do not report having caught an infectious disease will face three months of imprisonment and a fine of OMR1,000.

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued a decree amending some provisions of the Infectious Diseases Act.

The amendment is in Article 19: "Whoever fails to report a contagious disease, shall be punished with imprisonment for a period of no less than 3 months and not exceeding a year and a fine of no less than OMR 1,000 and no more than OMR10,000, or one of these two penalties."
