​Knowledge Oman celebrates 10 year anniversary

Muscat: Knowledge Oman, the Sultanate's knowledge-sharing community platform, recently celebrated its 10th anniversary that marks the successful years of the initiative activities impacting tens of thousands of people in the country, both locals and expatriate.

Team members along with all their families were invited at the largest family entertainment center in Oman, the Trampo Extreme Oman, to acknowledge initiatives that were held both online and offline to spread free learning across the Sultanate. Gifts and valuable prizes were also distributed to the members and their children.

"We are very proud of our accomplishments throughout the past 10 years and we will continue to impact the lives of people positively even in a bigger way in the coming years, God-willing. Knowledge Oman is a platform created by the people, run by the people and done for the people.”, said Tariq Hilal Al-Barwani who founded Knowledge Oman in 2018 to solidify the vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to transform Oman into a knowledge-based society.

Knowledge Oman has undertaken several initiatives to support the society working closely with local and regional partners delivering free talks and workshops, community seminars and talent learning events. Knowledge Oman has received both local and international recognition since the year of its conception, largest being the "Outstanding contribution to the cause of education" Award at the World Human Resource Development (HRD) Congress

“Our focus for the next coming years will be bridging the gap between the academia and the professional industries by ensuring organizations connect, talk and share practical knowledge to the students to ensure readiness for job and also readiness for starting up a business that creates jobs. We will do this by working and partnering closely with organizations that wants to enrich the Sultanate and grow the economy positively as an ultimate goal” said Al Barwani.

Since 2008, Knowledge Oman continues to empower youth by facilitating, creating and leading knowledge transfer initiatives whilst committed to quality output directly benefiting participants and the organizations as a whole. Celebrations for members and families are conducted every year as a means of attracting, rewarding and motivating members to do good for the country.
