Discussions will resume at the appropriate time: Sayyid Badr

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister describes the talks mediating between Iran and the US in Muscat today as “very serious.”

He said: “It was useful to clarify both Iranian and American thinking and identify areas for possible progress”.

He added: “We aim to reconvene in due course, with the results to be considered carefully in Tehran and Washington.”

He explained that these discussions contributed to clarifying the positions and orientations of both sides, and identifying a number of areas that could represent a basis for achieving potential progress, adding that it is expected to resume these discussions at the appropriate time, with their outcomes to be presented for consideration.
