The move is part of the centre’s objectives of providing more jobs to local job seekers, and will coordinate with other economic sectors to generate employment opportunities. In addition, it will liaise with the relevant government institutions and monitor the efforts of the private sector towards meeting the Omanisation percentages.
The centre will also identify those areas of experience in which job seekers and employees need training to improve the quality of work at their place of employment.
A statement issued by the NEC said, “With the start of operations of the National Employment Centre, we are pleased to announce the 2,020 job opportunities. Know that the application for these opportunities starts from 12:00 am.”
