Increase in women getting driving licences

The number of women receiving driving licences in Oman in 2018 rose, while the number of men who received licences dropped.
According to the annual facts and figures handbook released by the Royal Oman Police, 25,059 women received their licences.
It was an increase from 24,201 in 2017, and 21,931 in 2016.
However, the number of males who received their driving licences dropped from 57,605 in 2016 to 57,153 in 2017, and 47,512 in 2018.
