Muscat: In a new sporting achievement added to the record of the Shotokan Karate Association in the Sultanate of Oman, a group of the association’s athletes were promoted on Saturday, May 10, 2025, after successfully passing the black belt (Dan) examinations. The promotions were as follows: 3rd Dan Black Belt: Alyaqdhan bin Hilal Al-Abdali Alawi bin Tariq Baomar Shaima bint Tariq Baomar Bayan bint Hilal Al-Abdali 2nd Dan Black Belt: Rimas bint Ahmed Al-Wahaibi 1st Dan Black Belt: Suleiman bin Badr Al-Hinai Shihab bin Tariq Baomar Mays bint Khalifa Al-Rasbi Mounzer Ghassan Ghareir Ammar bin Salem Al-Siyabi Diya Shaheer Himank Kaushik These promotions crown the efforts of the athletes and coaches, and reflect the association’s commitment to preparing a distinguished generation of athletes with high technical skills and the ability to represent Oman in local and international forums.
