Inspection in Oman market reveals fish unfit for consumption

Muscat: Authorities have found over 10 kilos of fish unfit for human consumption during an inspection carried out at a few fish markets.

According to the Directorate General of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources of North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, the Food Safety and Quality Department, and experts from Bidiyah Municipality are visiting fish markets and have so far found over 10 kilos of fish to be unsuitable for human consumption.

The officials have issued two health related violations for the same.
