Muscat: The tropical storm Kyarr has weakened into a deep depression, the Meteorology Department at the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has said on Wednesday.

In a statement, it said: “The classification of the tropical storm has declined with wind speeds range from 28 to 33 knots as they continue moving south-southwest, moving away from the coasts of Masirah Island, along the coasts of Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates
It added: “Rainy clouds continue to flow in South Sharqiyah, AL Wusta and Dhofar governorates with active winds of up to 20-30 knots.”
Sea-level expansion in low-lying coastal areas will be less than in previous days and lower horizontal visibility due to active winds that will cause dust and dust to rise over desert and open areas, it further said.
