Oman and the United States hold meeting of the Joint Military Committee in Washington

Washington: The Sultanate of Oman and the United States held the 18th meeting of the Joint Military Committee in Washington to discuss areas of military cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing them.

The Omani side was headed by Dr Mohammed Nasser Al Zaabi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, who is on an official visit to the United States of America, while the American side was headed by Michael DeMino, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Middle East Affairs.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of topics on the agenda, and ways to enhance mutual defense coordination.

The meeting was attended by Talal bin Sulaiman Al Rahbi, the accredited Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United States of America, and a number of senior officers and officials from both the Omani and American sides.
