ROP denies rumours about civilian death at Muttrah Corniche

The Royal Oman Police has rubbished rumours spreading on social media about the death of a civilian bystander at Muttrah Corniche.
False reports about the death of a bystander at Muttrah Corniche as Oman felt the effects of Tropical Cyclone Kyarr have been doing the rounds on social media.
“There is no truth in the rumours being spread on social media about the death of a bystander on Tuesday night. Apparently someone has been spreading false reports about the death of a bystander after they fell off of a cement block in Muttrah Corniche because of the high waves and sea tide as a result of Tropical Cyclone Kyarr.” – Royal Oman Police
The ROP official confirmed that no deaths have been recorded in all the governorates and wilayat of the Sultanate since the beginning of the tropical Kyarr.
