Muscat: Citizens, sportspersons and leading diplomats in Oman have sent their best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on the blessed occasion of the 49th Renaissance Day.
Renaissance Day, which was first celebrated on 23 July 1970, marks the occasion on which His Majesty Sultan Qaboos ascended to the throne, ushering the Sultanate into an era of unprecedented peace, development and prosperity.
Sheikh Nasser Al Mawali, Chairman of State Audit Institution said: “It is a great honour to congratulate His Majesty on behalf of all State Audit Institution members and employees on this glorious occasion, and we pray to God to send us health and blessings, and grant His Majesty a life of happiness and good health and a life of progress and prosperity for the Omani people.”
Marc J Sievers, Ambassador of the United States to Oman had this to say: “It has been my great privilege to be the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Sultanate of Oman, since January 2016. On the occasion of Oman’s 49th Renaissance Day, I would like to extend my warm congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, and to the Omani people. The United States and Oman are great friends and partners, and this will continue into the future.”
Munu Mahawar, Ambassador of India to Oman sent this message: “I extend warm greetings and the heartiest felicitations to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, and to the people of Oman on the occasion of Renaissance Day. Under His Majesty’s reign, Oman has evolved into a modern and prosperous nation. During this period, the traditionally close and friendly relations between India and Oman have also evolved into a strategic partnership.”
“I look forward to working closely with the government and people of Oman for the further expansion and strengthening of this partnership. Once again, heartiest greetings on the happy occasion of Renaissance Day.”
Sufyan Mehmood, Omani cricketer said: “We are blessed to experience another Renaissance Day; it is a very special day for me and for all Omanis. We are also blessed to have a leader like His Majesty the Sultan. I pray to Almighty God to grant him good health, always, and I pray to God that we continue to be blessed to have him as our leader.”
“Renaissance Day is also special to me because I remember on this day in 2015, we qualified for the T20 World Cup , so this day has great memories for me. I wish all Omanis happiness and hope that you all stay safe always.”
Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal, Ambassador of Nepal, said: “Namaste. On behalf of the Government of Nepal, I as an ambassador of Nepal to the Sultanate of Oman would like to express hearty congratulations to His Majesty and the Omani people for the anniversary of the blessed day of the Renaissance. Oman has achieved great success under the wise and inspiring leadership of His Majesty.”
“We wish a long and healthy life to His Majesty, and we also wish peace, prosperity and progress for the Omani people. The Sultanate of Oman is a great example of peace and stability in the world. Bart Beltman, acting ambassador of the Netherlands to Oman said: “Representing the Kingdom of the Netherlands, I wish to congratulate His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Sultanate of Oman, and all Omanis, on this 49th Renaissance Day. The Netherlands is very proud of our long-standing and friendly relationship with Oman, and we very much look forward to cooperating together, towards progress for both our nations.”
Kim Chang Kyu, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea also sent good wishes: “On behalf of the Korean people and the government, it is my honour and great privilege to send warmest congratulations on the 49th Renaissance Day of the Sultanate of Oman. Under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Sultanate of Oman has achieved political stability and economic development over the decades.”
