Pakistani Rupee hits all time low

Muscat: The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) fell to an all time low, with trading against the US dollar closing at PKR 162 for One dollar, on Thursday.

The currency, which was trading against a single Omani Rial at PKR376 last month, has drastically depreciated and is now a trading close to PKR420.

"PKR is at its all time low and and has depreciated and closed at 162 against USD today [Thursday]," said P.K. Subudhi, General Manager at Mustafa Sultan Exchange.

"The exchange rate against a single OMR depends on your dollar cost. Therefore, today PKR is hovering around 420 against one OMR," Subudhi added.
