
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested two expats on charges of theft.
According to authorities, the suspects monitored bank customers and followed them in their vehicles. Once the victims would leave their vehicles parked, the suspects would enter the car and steal the money.
In a statement, the ROP said, "The Department of Crime Prevention has arrested two Arab nationals accused of surveilling bank customers and stealing money from their vehicles once they leave."
The police have advised citizens and residents to be cautious and to not leave any money or valuables in their vehicles which could expose them to theft.
