Investigation underway in embezzlement case

Investigations are underway after allegations of embezzlement at the Ministry of Education surfaced, says a top official at Oman's SAI.

State Audit Institution, (SAI) declined to publish any detail about the state of affairs as the Public Prosecution’s investigation is yet to be completed.

“SAI is effectively utilising all the tools and powers vested in it by law to carry out the functions entrusted to it, leading to the efficient use of public funds and the services.” - SAI, State Audit Institution

The State Audit is responsible for maintaining public money and improving services provided to citizens and state institutions.
