Oman's rehab centres to remain closed due to bad weather

Muscat: All private and public rehabilitation centres will be closed in Oman tomorrow Sunday, April, 14, due to inclement weather conditions, the Ministry of Social Development has announced.

The ministry said that this decision encompasses all centres and nurseries throughout the Sultanate with the exemption of the governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta.

In a statement, the ministry said, "After coordinating with the Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre, the Ministry of Social Development would like to announce that work and rehabilitation in private and public institutions that provide services to people with special needs, in addition, nurseries and child growth centres will be suspended throughout the governorates of the Sultanate with the exception of Dhofar and Al Wusta tomorrow Sunday, April 14, 2019, work and rehabilitation will resume the day after tomorrow, Monday, April 15 2019."

The decision was made after the Public Authority Civil Aviation issued warnings that the weather may take a turn for the worse in the next 24 hours.
