Muscat: Oman's Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS) has said that it needs at least 100 blood units per day.
In an online statement, DBBS said, “The DBBS in Boushar needs more than 100 blood units per day, supplying that to the Royal Hospital, Khoula and Al Nahda hospitals and Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, as well as other hospitals that require essential blood units.”
“A large percentage of these units are provided through blood donation campaigns organised on a daily basis,” the department added.
