Coast Guard rescues 10 in Oman

Muscat: The Coast Guard police rescued 10 people from various parts of the Sultanate.
The coast guard led by the Southern Sharqiyah police assisted a fishing boat that had "8 citizens on board after their engine stopped working at sea near Ras Al Hadd in wilayat Sur," ROP said.
In another case, the coast guard patrol in Musandam assisted, "Two Asian nationals after receiving a distress call from a commercial boat near Al Khasab Port."
The police have asked the owners of boats to perform regular maintenance on their boats, take sufficient amount of fuel and ensure the presence of safety tools and first aid before going to sea.
