Muscat: Oman Air announced on Thursday that it may ‘occasionally' cancel some flights to Khasab in Musandam governorate.
A statement by Oman Air read, "The safety of our guests is our number one priority. We remain committed to the highest standards of safety for our guests and our crew. For that reason, occasionally we may have to cancel some of our flights to Khasab in the governorate of Musandam due to unstable weather conditions."
The statement added, "This comes in full complaince with prevaling laws and regulations governing our flight operations. We are dedicated to providing you with the best possible customer experience, and will assist with the rebooking of affected guests."
According to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation, "Rain clouds, occasionally with thunder, continue to move over al Buraimi and parts of al Dhahira and North al Batinah. It is expected for the chances of rain to expand to include al Hajr mountains and neighbouring regions over the coming hours."
