757 samples examined in labs in 2018 third quarter

Muscat: The number of samples examined in the various laboratories of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry during the third quarter of the year 2018 reached to 757, compared with 648 samples examined during the same period in 2017.
The statistics department of the ministry said that the number of samples examined in the chemical food laboratory during the third quarter of last year reached to 75, compared with just 39 samples during the same period in 2017.
The Public Chemical Laboratory examined 182 samples during the same period last year, compared with 166 samples it tested during the same period of 2017. The number of samples examined in the laboratory of physics and building materials reached to 60, compared with 70 in 2017.
The number of samples examined in the microbiology laboratory during the third quarter of last year was 395, compared with 359 samples tested their during the same period in 2017.
Similarly, the number of samples examined in the laboratory of home appliances during the third quarter of last year amounted was 45, compared with 14 samples examined during the same period in 2017.
