Bin Alawi takes part in Organization of Islamic Cooperation meeting

MUSCAT: Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs and his accompanying delegation participated in the meetings of the 46th round of Foreign Ministers Council member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Abu Dhabi on 1 and 2 March .
Alawi participated in the final session which focused on enhancement of economic cooperation and investment.
The session also concentrated on taking of the necessary measures, the arrangements for enhancement of trade, investment and Islamic social finance, economic integration and joint interests of the member states at the international arena among other issues.
On the sidelines of the meetings, Alawi met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE.
The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern.
Alawi also met with Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Ahmed Al Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait. The meeting reviewed enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Alawi also met with a number of foreign ministers including the foreign ministers of Tajikistan, Kirghizstan, Uganda, and first deputy to prime minister of Kosovo, where they discussed enhancement of bilateral relations between the Sultanate and their respective countries.
