Moody’s team discusses Oman economy at State Council

Muscat: A delegation from Moody’s Investors Service visited the State Council on Monday.
This was in the context of the Foundation’s programme to assess the credit status of the Sultanate annually.
The delegation was received by Dr. Said Mubarak Said Al Muharrami, Member of the Economic Committee of the Council, and Altaf bint Omar Al Marhoon, Assistant Secretary General for the Information and Research Centre.
The discussions focused on issues related to enhancing the economic performance of the Sultanate in the field of investments and attracting investors in light of the positive features of the Sultanate including the industrial and economic cities, which present a package of incentives for investors.
The meeting also dealt with the important role played by the Council of Oman in processing legislations related to economic and financial issues, coordination between the Council and the government in the field of investments and improving the national economy.
At the end of the visit, the delegation toured the council and learned about its various facilities.
