Majlis Al Shura refers statistics, courier draft laws to State Council

Muscat: The Majlis Al Shura has referred the draft of law on statistics and information, as well as another one for regulating courier business in the Sultanate to the State Council.
The draft law on couriers and parcels pertains to the common system regulating the activity of the private companies and establishments operating express courier and parcel services in the GCC States.
The draft law on statistics and information was referred to the Majlis Al Shura from the government.
The draft laws were referred to the State Council during the 5th regular session of the 4th annual convening (2018-2019) of the 8th term ( 2015-2019), held under the chairmanship of Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali, chairman of Majlis Al Shura.
The meeting discussed the draft law of statistics and information in earlier sessions of the Majlis Al Shura.
For this, the Majlis Al Shura has also hosted in earlier meetings the CEO of the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
