Oman crime: Man arrested for robbery in Salalah

Muscat: An Omani citizen was arrested in Salalah on charges of house robbery, Royal Oman Police reported on Wednesday.
According to an ROP source, the accused was arrested while selling the stolen stuff at a shop in Salalah. He confessed to stealing from 14 houses in the southern governorate.

Drug trafficking
Meanwhile, an Omani national and an Asian expatriate have been arrested on charges of trafficking and possessing drugs. The ROP in Dhofar said that they have seized five bundles of hashish.
Improper number plates
The ROP also revealed that 235 cases of effacing vehicle number plates or improperly adjusting them were recorded in the Sultanate last year.
Narcotics
An expatriate of Asian nationality was arrested at Muscat International Airport while attempting to smuggle 200 tablets of narcotics.
