Two women killed in car accident in Oman

Muscat: Two Omani women have died as a result of a car crash in Salalah, Royal Oman Police has confirmed.
The incident took place on Tuesday morning on Al Ribat street in wilayat Salalah due to a collision with another vehicle, according to police.
Meanwhile, Dhofar Municipality officials affirmed that it had earlier addressed the competent authorities on the need to build a barrier in the area where the accident took place.
In an online statement, it said, "Dhofar Municipality wishes to acknowledge that His Excellency the Minister of State and the governor of Dhofar, has already addressed the Supreme Council for Planning and the concerned authorities on the need to make a concrete barrier in the centre island of Ribat Street in Salalah, because of its importance to traffic safety."
