Muscat: A construction company in Oman has been fined for carrying out work on a road without a licence and subsequently damaging it, Muscat Municipality has announced.
Officials added that the company officials also did not clear the area and left asphalt waste out in the open.
In s statement online Muscat Municipality said, “The Urban Inspection Department of the General Directorate of Muscat Municipality in Bausher seized and fined a contracting company, for carrying out the work of cutting a road without a licence. [The company also failed to] get rid of asphalt waste in public sites, which is contrary to administrative Decision No. 212/2017, cutting mountains and conducting excavation works on roads without a municipal licence.”
