MUSCAT: Fast bowler Ahmed Fayyaz Butt ran through Enhance line-up with a 5-wicket haul to power Passage to India (PTI) to an emphatic 89-run win in a Premier Division clash at Oman Cricket grassy ground 1 in Al Amerat on Friday.
Teetering at 72 for 6, PTI was rescued by an 88-run 7th wicket partnership between Muhammed Sajjad (51 off 50) and Fayyaz Butt (37 off 43) before being dismissed for 192 in the 42nd over. Batting at No. 9, Syed Amir Ali contributed 22 off 34. Sachin Kumar and Mehran Khan picked up two wickets each.
Disastrous start
Enhance got off to a disastrous start, slumping to 52 for 6 before being shot down for a paltry 103 in the 28th over. Fayyaz Butt was the chief destroyer with 5 for 31. Muhammed Bilal and Bilal Khan bagged two wickets each.

Ooredoo upset Sinha
Ooredoo caused a flutter in the A Division by upsetting a former Premier Division side Sinha with a thrilling 2-wicket victory at OC Grassy ground 2 on Friday.
Opting to bat first, Sinha failed to post a sizeable total on the board, getting dismissed for 185 in the 45th over. Nalinda Prasad top scored with 33 while Manusingha Senuvirtne chipped in with a fluent 30. Tapan Viz and Aadil Mohammed claimed three and two wickets respectively.
Struggling
Struggling at 44 for 3, Ooredoo was saved by a 98-run fourth wicket partnership between opener Nidhin Mohan (67 off 90) and Jayson Delboy (46 off 48). Victory was soon achieved in 39th over as Ooredoo scored 187 for 8. Nalinda Prasad claimed 5 for 28.

Kalairasan helps Zawawi
In another A Division clash, star bowler Kalairasan Natarajan’s superb spell powered Zawawi Powertech Engineering to a big 107-run win over IT Works at OC Grassy ground 2 on Saturday.
Chasing Zawawi’s 197, IT Works folded up for a meager 90 in the 24th over due largely to Kalairasan’s match-winning spell. Prabhakaran Kannan bowled well too, taking 3 for 20. Banty Nandy top scored for Zawawi with a solid 52 off 70.
