Video: Lulu Hypermarket opens its 22nd branch in Oman

Muscat: Lulu Hypermarket Oman inaugurated its latest branch in the wilayat of Sur on Thursday. The new store was officially inaugurated by Sheikh Abdullah bin Mustahil bin Salim Shammas, Governor of South Al Sharqiyah region, in the presence of several high-ranking officials.
The hypermarket, which is the 22nd branch in Oman and the 155th globally, is spread over an area of some 150,000 square feet and is situated at a strategic location on the highway that connects Sur and Quriyat. The new branch has separate sections for fresh foods, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, poultry, meat, and fish, as well as a hot food and bakery section.

There is also a huge area dedicated to a department store, which includes garments, electronics, IT products, stationery, and home appliances. There is also a huge collection of the latest electronics and IT gadgets at amazing prices. The new hypermarket, with wider aisles, multiple counters, and ample parking facilities, offers customers a smarter and more efficient system of shopping.
Speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration, Yusuffali MA, Chairman & Managing Director of Lulu Group, said, “It gives us great pride to unveil our latest project in Oman during the period of the 48th National Day celebrations. With the launch of every new store, Lulu aims to not only create job opportunities for talented Omani nationals, but to also support the economy. The new store will be an opportunity for local manufacturers and producers to promote their products.”
Ananth A V, Director of Lulu Hypermarkets Oman, India & Sri Lanka, remarked, “Oman’s retail market is constantly developing and there is room for new opportunities and ideas. We have launched this store keeping in mind the convenience of residents in Sur and its surrounding wilayats.”
The new hypermarket is part of City Walk, which is a world-class commercial and entertainment facility of the Sur Gate project, developed by Al Sharqiya Real Estate Development and Investment, in cooperation with Shumookh Investment and Services, the investment arm of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates.
