​Expat arrested in Oman for fraud, harassment

Muscat: An expat has been arrested on charges of fraud and harassment in Ruwi by the Royal Oman Police.

According to authorities, the suspect was arrested on charges of money laundering and harassment. In a statement online, police said: "Ruwi police arrested an African national who scammed a woman into believing he could multiply money. When he met the victim, he harassed her."

The suspect was arrested in possession of a group of chemicals used in the fraud.
