MUSCAT: Silk Gate registered their biggest ever win at the Municipality Ground 1 when they defeated OCT Al Hail B by 102 runs in an afternoon match played during the weekend.

Silk Gate got off to a flying start with Kaustubh Durgaoli top scoring with 60 runs of 38 balls, Javed Mohammed chipping in with useful 46 of 35 balls, and Mohammed Owais scoring a quick 44 of 20 balls to post a total of 195 for the loss of 4 wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.
OCT Al Hail B needing 196 runs for a victory, were bowled all out for 93 runs 19.3 overs.
Avinash Joseph of Silk Gate bowled a superb spell of tight bowling to take 4 wickets for 5 runs in 3.3 overs. Sagar Trantukar and Sachin Mamnani took 2 wickets to complete the formalities.
In the other match held at the Municipality Ground 3, Ideal International beat RAHRC by 44 runs in a E Division encounter.
Winning the toss Ideal International posted a mammoth score of 208 for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, thanks to a quick-fire 83 from Akbar Shaikh and a well-made 57 from Wasim Jamadar. Tariq Ahmed and Omani player Faris Zadjali took 3 wickets a piece, with Chintan Gohel lending able support with 2 wickets.
Requiring 209 runs to win RAHRC were bundled all out for 164 runs with Shafaf top scoring with a well-crafted 50 runs. Guffran was the main wicket taker with 3 scalps to his name. Faizan Mohammed and Haneef Hodekar shared the other wickets to fall.
