Ministry confirms diseased cattle in Oman

The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries has confirmed that it had found cases of bovine ephemeral fever and Lumpy Skin Disease in some cattle in Oman.

However, the ministry has the situation under control.

According to officials, after an initial outbreak in Salalah and Taqah, no new cases have been recorded except for a smaller outbreak in Mirbat.

Individuals should immediately contact the nearest agricultural development office or veterinary clinic if they witness cases where cattle dies unusually or develops symptoms.
