The 21st Muscat Festival will be larger than the previous editions and include electric games, daily fireworks displays, children’s theatre, international and local sports events, a large number of food courts for visitors at both the venues, among other exciting activities on offer.

“I moved to Muscat in September 2015 and attended the festival in January 2016 for the first time. Since then, I have been going to it every year.
“The best thing about the Muscat Festival is that it is organised during the best time of the year – January – where people can enjoy spending time outdoors, while being entertained by the various activities arranged at the venues. As always, I am really looking forward to it,” said Aytekin Gojayeva, a Ph.D student at Sultan Qaboos University, from Azerbaijan.
This edition of the Muscat Festival offers an authentic representation of heritage, culture and arts.
While Amerat Park will offer more for trade fairs, stage events and spectacular visual shows, Al Naseem Gardens will be exhibiting children’s theatre, consumer fairs, and most interestingly, the Heritage Village that offers a realistic embodiment of Oman’s authentic culture. There will also be an outdoor cinema at Al Naseem Gardens from January 10 to February 9, 2019.

“I have been living in Oman for about 13 years now, and my kids and I look forward to attending it every single time.
“Once we happened to be on our annual vacation and missed the festival in 2017 and were extremely upset. Since then, we have made sure not to plan anything around the time of the festival. We absolutely love attending it,” said Anetta, a mother of two girls and a boy.
In addition to that, Tour of Oman activities will also be held as part of the Muscat Festival from February 16 to 21, 2019, while the Celebrity Cricket League, which was scheduled for December 28, 2018, has been rescheduled to January 25 as part of the festival.
