Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested one person for "drifting and driving in a reckless manner" in Sohar.
According to officials, police at the North Batinah police station made the arrest.

In a statement online, ROP said, "The North Batinah Governorate police command arrested a citizen on charges of reckless driving and drifting. The accused was arrested after a viral video clip that spread through social media of the driver of the vehicle while he was drifting in several places in Wilayat Sohar."
ROP called on all citizens and residents to cooperate and report such incidents in order to eliminate this problem, which causes accidents and disturbs the peace.
