Over 370 expat workers arrested in Oman

Muscat: A total of 377 expat workers of “Asian” nationality were arrested on Friday morning in Ruwi, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.
The men and women were detained after the Royal Oman Police carried out a joint operation with the Ministry of Manpower. This was done to “arrest illegal expats, labour law and resident law violators,” ROP said.
The inspection campaign took place at “dawn on Friday 26/10/2018 in Ruwi, Muscat,” added the police.
Officials said that legal action will be taken against all the suspects.
