Muscat: Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) has once again called upon people in areas affected by tropical storm Luban to avoid wadis, even if the water level is low.
PACDA issued the advisory in an online statement.
“For your own safety. Do not cross wadis even if the water level is low,” PACDA tweeted.
Whenever there is rainfall in the Sultanate, low lying areas and wadis are almost immediately submerged. Entering wadis when there is a chance of flooding is punishable by law.
Earlier, PACDA asked citizens and residents in areas affected by the storm to take shelter at home and not venture out, unless absolutely necessary.
