MUSCAT: Pakistan School Muscat (PSM) got off to winning start in women’s league too, scoring an exciting 4-wicket win over Indian Social Club (ISC) at Ministry of Sports ground in Al Amerat on Monday.
Invited to bat first, ISC struggled its way to 123 for 4 in 20 overs. Suhani Dadwal led the way with 39 off 52. Sani e Zahra picked up two wickets.
PSM achieved the target in 18.1 overs, scoring 124 for 6 thanks to unbeaten 41 by Fiza. Nikhitaa Jagadish and Payal Joshi took two wickets each.
Brief scores: ISC Women 123 for 4 in 20 overs (Suhani Dadwal 39 – 3x4. Sani e Zehra 2-17) lost to PSM 124 for 6 in 18.1 overs (Fiza 41 not out – 3x4. Nikhitaa Jagadish 2-17, Payal Kanojia 2-21) by 4 wickets.
Nihal, Sundara help ISWK to victory
In a Junior League Under-16 game, Jayaprakash Nihal and Swastik Sundara starred in Indian School Wadi Kabir’s 48-run victory against Indian School Muscat (ISM) at Muscat Municipality ground 3 on Saturday.
ISWK was dismissed for 134 in 27.4 overs, Sundara topscoring with 24 off 39. Adithya Singh and Ayman Ayaz bagged two wickets each.
ISM failed to pose any challenge and folded up for a dismal 86 in 20 overs. Adithya scored 29 while Jayesh Anil contributed 25. Jayaprakash Anil bowled brilliantly to take 5 for 18 while Sundara and Siddh Mehta claimed two wickets each.

Talha stars in big win for SLSM
Talha Khalid’s splendid 4 for 10 powered Sri Lankan School Muscat (SLSM) to a huge 10-wicket win over Indian School Maabela in another Junior League Under-16 match at Muscat Municipality ground 3.
Having bundled out Indian School Maabela for a paltry 58 in the 24th over, SLSM raced to the target in the 5th over, scoring 59 without loss. Movindu Ruvith and Udana Wickramaratne remained not out on 26 and 24 respectively.

MCCC A too good for MCCC B
In the day’s other Under-16 clash, MCCC A handed MCCC B a 222-run drubbing at Muscat Municipality ground 2.
MCCC A made MCCC B pay for its decision to bowl first by amassing 284 for 3 in 30 overs. Opener Gyan Ganesh topscored with an unbeaten 95 off 74 while Vraj Patel (74), Arjun Mandalia (44) and Devansh Sampat (37 not out) made useful contributions.
Feeling under pressure, MCCC B got dismissed for a meagre 62 in the 23rd over due to Akash Baiju’s brilliant 4 for 9 and Shashank Mohan’s 3 for 7.
