Nizwa accident: Five injured  students discharged from hospital

Muscat: Five students from a school in Nizwa who were injured in an accident have been discharged from the hospital, school authorities have announced.
A total of eight students were hurt in an accident on Wednesday, in which an Omani woman hit the accelerator instead of the brake, subsquently running over the children.
In a statement, Nizwa School said “the Nizwa School administration wants to reassure all parents that [five out of the eight] female students have been discharged from hospital. We ask Allah to heal them."
Speaking about the accident, an official at the Royal Oman Police (ROP) told the Times of Oman “An Omani woman who went to pick up her children from school accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake. Two students were seriously injured, while six others sustained moderate to light injuries. The accident took place at Nizwa School for Basic Education in the Redat Al Busaid area on Wednesday afternoon.”
