Big jump in Khareef season visitors to Salalah

Muscat: The number of visitors to Salalah by the end of the Khareef season’s tenth week, (ending August 29, 2018) stood at 796,854, an increase of 33.5 per cent over the number of visitors during the same period last year which stood at 596,876.
Also, the number during the tenth week (from August 23 to August 29) stood at 55,668, a decrease of 26.4 per cent compared to the ninth week of the current season when the number stood at 75,647 according to the latest statistics released by National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) which keeps count of visitors.

Gulf citizens including Omanis acconted for 91.1 per cent of the total visitors up to the tenth week followed by visitors from Asian countries who numbered 45,601, while the number of visitors from European countries stood at 3, 277.
