Two arrested on charges of car theft in Oman

Muscat: Two people have been arrested on charges of theft in Muscat Governorate, the Royal Oman Police has said.

In the first case, one person was caught stealing a vehicle in Al Dokul, in the Wilayat of Amerat.
ROP officials said, “The Al Amerat police caught a person accused of stealing a vehicle in Al Dokul area in the Wilayat of Al Amerat.”

“A search and investigation team was formed after the centre received several reports stating that vehicles were being stolen in the Wilayat," ROP added.

The second arrest took place in Ruwi where an accused was arrested for robbing people.

Officals said, “The Department of Investigations and Criminal Investigation in Muscat Governorate has arrested an accused on charges of robbery in Ruwi, the vehicle used in the crime was seized.”

"The remaining legal proceedings are being carried out," ROP added.
